CEO, Eagala.org

Professional experiential therapy that works.

The Eagala Model is a distinct experience-based, team-approach framework designed to empower clients to analyze their situations, make connections, and find their own solutions through personal and physical experiences. Over the past 17 years, our clients have reported that they have been able to change and grow more effectively and quickly than through traditional approaches.

Client-centered and solution-oriented.

The Eagala Model is so effective because it embraces the philosophy that humans learn best by doing. The model prescribes a hands-on approach where clients are given the space to project and analyze their situations, make connections, and find their own solutions. Since the solutions are personally experienced in conjunction with intellectual understanding, they tend to be deeper, more profound, and longer lasting.

Horses are a key part of the team.

To evade predators, horses have evolved to be extremely sensitive to their environment. They instinctively analyze and react to our body language and other nonverbal cues. As a result, we are able to gain insight into our own nonverbal communication and behavior patterns. The Eagala Model invites clients into an arena for ground-based interaction with horses to facilitate the therapeutic process. These horses become the focal point in client-driven discovery and analysis.

Eagala is the global standard.

The Eagala Model stands alone in the world of equine-assisted therapy due to a strict commitment to standards, code of ethics, continuing education, and a replicable framework. The Eagala Model is a team approach that includes a registered, credentialed Mental Health Professional, a qualified Equine Specialist, and horses working together with the client at all times.
